Providence Catholic Names 47 AP Scholar Award Recipients
The students earned the distinctions based on GPA and scores on AP exams.

Dr. John Harper, Principal of Providence Catholic High School, is pleased to announce that 38 students have earned AP Scholar Awards by the College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement Program (AP) Exams, which were taken in May. “We are extremely proud of these young men and women who strive for academic excellence,” said Harper.
At Providence Catholic:
Three students qualified for the National AP Scholar Award by earning an average grade of 4 or higher on a five-point scale on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams. These students are Eric Connelly ‘14 (Tinley Park), Jessica Talwar ‘14 (Orland Park) and Kimberly Trochuck ‘14 (Homer Glen).

Eleven students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. These students are Kathleen Andrews ‘14 (New Lenox), Julie Baffoe ‘14 (Orland Park), Eric Connelly ‘14 (Tinley Park), Samantha Irvin ‘14 (Joliet), Sean Murray ‘14 (Manhattan), Clare O’Donnell ‘14 (Lemont), Noah Peterman ‘14 (New Lenox), Daniel Salazar ‘14 (Joliet), Jessica Talwar ‘14 (Orland Park), Kimberly Trochuck ‘14 (Homer Glen) and Maia Zalik ‘14 (Orland Park).
Nine students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. These students are Joseph Fekech ‘14 (Plainfield), Emma Griffiths ‘15 (Mokena), Zachary Lake ‘14 (Manhattan), Morgan Manghera ‘14 (Tinley Park), Stephanie Mastorakos ‘15 (Homer Glen), Margaret Turk ‘14 (Joliet), Elisia Venegas ‘14 (Crest Hill), Connor Welch ‘14 (New Lenox) and Tanner Zielinski ‘14 (Shorewood).

Eighteen students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP Exams, with grades of 3 or higher. These students are Anne Corso ‘15 (Palos Park), Katherine Czerwinski ‘14 (Homer Glen), Michael Davis ‘15 (New Lenox), Taylor Dickason ‘14 (Frankfort), Michael Ford ‘14 (Homer Glen), Megan Gardner ‘14 (Lemont), Meghan Grill ‘14 (Homer Glen), Alexandra Kieffer ‘14 (Orland Park), Kaitlyn Kman ‘14 (Tinley Park), Kyleigh Maday ‘14 (Lemont), Kevin McEneany ‘15 (Lemont), Daniel Niemiec ‘14 (Homer Glen), Jack Pell ‘15 (Mokena), Srirajkumar Ranganathan ‘15 (Lemont), Joseph Schaefer ‘14 (Mokena), Courtney Suggs ‘14 (Frankfort), Anne Whisson ‘14 (Homer Glen) and Haolin Zhu ‘14 (Plainfield).
