Providence Football Experience Includes Band, Burger and Brat Dads

Darrell Langlois and Kevin Cunningham man the grill and watch their kids perform during Providence home football games.

freshman Billy Cunningham plays the alto sax and junior Nicole Langlois plays percussion. The two were in action during Providence’s 32-6 loss to Loyola on Friday, Sept. 16.

While the Celtics had little to celebrate with the pigskin, it did nothing to take away from the band, which was in top form. That certainly was pleasing to the eyes and ears of Darrell Langlois and Kevin Cunningham. The two band dads were busy grilling hamburgers and bratwursts at the concession stand, while also taking the time to watch their children perform.

“We’re just a couple band dads,” Langlois said. “Out here grilling food and watching our kids.”
