Prowler Slips Into New Lenox Dunkin' Donuts, Absconds With Cash: Cops

A crook made his way into the Dunkin’ Donuts on Laraway Road and made off with the cash from the register, police said.

The break-in was reported to police shortly before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and an officer was sent out to the Dunkin’ Donuts to see what was up.

The officer was told an “unknown person entered the store and removed cash from the cash register,” police said.

The police did not disclose how much money was lost in the burglary.

The case was turned over to department’s investigations division.
