QB Jim McMahon Coming To New Lenox For Ribbon-Cutting
McMahon led the Chicago Bears to the Super Bowl during the 1985 season.

NEW LENOX, IL - In a season where the Chicago Bears are being touted as potential Super Bowl contenders, the famous star quarterback from the 1985 Super Bowl team Jim McMahon is coming to New Lenox for a memorable event. The Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital is almost done. On Thursday, Dec. 13, a grand opening ceremony will feature McMahon as the special guest speaker.
"Jim will speak about his struggles and experiences with depression following a successful 15-year career in the NFL," the Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital website notes.
Hospital officials noted that the grand opening featuring McMahon is by invitation only and that it is not a community-wide event. After all, there is limited seating and limited parking at the new Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital property.
