Ranch Frostie Announces Ribbon-Cutting Event

Ranch Frostie has operated in New Lenox at its current location since around 1970.

NEW LENOX, IL - Last month, thousands of people in the Lincoln-Way area were thrilled to learn that a local business icon, Ranch Frostie, was not going away. John Sestak and Jackie Potocki, both New Lenox residents who are civically involved in the community, have taken over Ranch Frostie from Teri Hoyt, the long-time owner. Ranch Frostie has been open every March through October at its current location on Cedar Road since around 1970 and this year will be no exception.

Potocki told New Lenox Patch that Ranch Frostie is hosting a ribbon-cutting event in conjunction with the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, March 24.

That day, Ranch Frostie will have an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will include free ice-cream samples, balloon animals for kids and a tent featuring a disc jockey.

"We've been getting a lot of great feedback," Potocki said. "We're so grateful for all of the support we've had that Frostie is going to stay. We want to thank everyone for their support at the open house."
