Registration Going On for Spotlight Theater Classes

Voice & Acting lessons for youth being held at Trinity School. Students taking classes will be able to audition for Charlie Brown.

WHAT: Spotlight Youth Theater’s winter classes are beginning soon! Spotlight Youth Theater is an after-school theater arts education program for kids ages 5-18. Spotlight offers classes in 12 different areas around Illinois and Wisconsin, including the Will County area! Spotlight offers students an opportunity to develop their talents, in singing, dancing, and acting, interact with friends, and learn to be a positive member of their community.

WHEN: November 3–January 26. Monday Nights: 5 to 7 p.m.

Students enrolled in classes are able to audition for the Winter production of You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown. Auditions will be held November 7 starting at 5 p.m. Audition location is at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1910 Black Road in Joliet, Illinois.

WHO: Spotlight Youth Theater is a non-profit, educational theater arts program for students 5-18 in the Aurora, DuPage, Kane, Kenosha (WI), Lake, McHenry, Milwaukee (WI), NW Cook, Oak Park, Orland Park, Rockford Metro, and Shorewood areas and has approximately 6,000 students per year. Each area offers summer camps and after-school classes in dance, voice, drama and theatrical specialties, and performs three fully staged musical productions per year. Spotlight is non-discriminatory and welcomes all children. Spotlight Youth Theater also offers an inclusion program, which assists students with special needs to participate in classes and productions.
