Rejoice!
Devotion to remember to rejoice in the changes in our lives, no matter how "scary" they may be at times.

11Yours, O Lord, are the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and on the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. 12Riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might; and it is in your hand to make great and to give strength to all. 13And now, our God, we give thanks to you and praise your glorious name. ~ 1 Chronicles 29:11-13
Each day the colors of fall become more and more vibrant. As I drive to work, I marvel at the beauty of the trees as they change from green to reds, yellows, burgundies and browns. What a wonderful thing rejoicing in the changing of seasons can be when we look with awe at the power of God’s hand in His creation.
Change within our lives can be a scary thing, yet we need to embrace and rejoice in it as well. It may be in one’s health, status or relationships. With change, however “scary” it may be, God is present with us to make of the change something beautiful to behold. We must just place our trust in Him - that His plan is far better and greater than we can see or even imagine. Change is not always something we look forward to, however. With God beside us, it will come to be something wonderful at then end of the journey. Just look to Him and believe.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, Not all change is something we, as mere humans, enjoy going through. It can be very scary for us, yet exciting at other times. We place our faith and trust in You, that You know what is best for us, will continue to be with us and will see us through whatever changes in life we must go through. May we always remember that what You have in store for us is far better and more beautiful than we can even imagine and that we need to rejoice in the changes You have planned for us. Amen.
