Relay for Life New Lenox Steps Off Friday

Join those walking "in Honor of Hope."

Twenty-six teams—more than 200 people‚ will take to the track at Lincoln-Way West Friday, July 10 overnight into Saturday, July 11. They’ll lap the track for those they love who have suffered from, battled, defeated—or fallen to—cancer.

All funds raised through the event will be donated to the American Cancer Society, and to date the local fundraising powerhouses have drummed up more than $47,000 in support.

The event starts Friday with opening ceremonies at 6:30 p.m. Join in a luminaria ceremony in honor of those who are fighting or have fought their own battles with cancer, and food, fun and games, and bring your Superhero gero.
