Resident Publishes Novel About Witchcraft, Demonology
New Lenox resident Phil Kledzik writes about the supernatural in "The Sister's Rebellion," his third published book

During Spring Break, a teen reads books about the supernatural and soon after strange forms of rebellion plague her and her church youth group. That's the setting for New Lenox resident Phil Kledzik's third novel, The Sister's Rebellion.
“The supernatural has always been a fascinating subject to me,” Kledzik told the Joliet Herald-News. "Because it’s an unseen world a lot of us don’t like to acknowledge or think about. Western thought prefers exploring natural law, what we can see.”
Here's the plot summary, from Old Line Publishing:

During Spring Break Gabrielle brings home a lot more than she anticipated when she follows a friend’s advice and purchases some books on the occult. Her efforts to keep them hidden from her family fail miserably, and her sister Layna takes an immediate and unexplainable interest in the books and their content.
Strange dreams and disturbing visions set the stage for various forms of rebellion that begin to plague Layna and her friends. As the high school senior delves deeper into the occult her close and religious peers begin to react in differing ways. Her friends respond with shock, fright and interest as her obsession spirals out of control.

The depth and depravity reach their zenith when an infamous demon makes its presence and objectives known in a variety of spectacularly wicked displays. Layna’s youth pastor, Terry, puts the pieces together and soon realizes that there is more than an “out-of-control teen” responsible for the recent and bizarre events plaguing his youth group.
Terry is joined by Gabrielle and a small contingent from the church in bravely confronting the forces of darkness. Not one of them is adequately prepared for the supernatural combat ahead. What will be the outcome of this ageless war between good and evil? Will the forces of darkness achieve their long sought after goals, or will they meet their ultimate destruction?
