Retail Thefts, Car Burglaries: New Lenox Arrests

New Lenox Police reports.

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Jan. 24

  • A man stole two TVs from Walmart, 501 E. Lincoln Highway. An employee followed the man to the parking lot, where the man dumped the TVs in a puddle and fled in a waiting car.

  • A man stole over 40 bottles of alcohol from Jewel Osco, 2021 E. Laraway Road. Total loss is $3,900.
  • A man stole several electronic items from Walmart, 501 E. Lincoln Highway three days prior of report. Total loss is $1,500.

Jan. 27

  • Jesse Keehma, 37, of Romeoville, was arrested at 1:59 a.m. at Washington Street and Lancaster Drive and charged with possession of controlled substance (cocaine).
  • Two unlocked cars were entered in the 2700 block of Daniel Lewis Drive. A laptop was stolen from one of the cars.
  • Two unlocked cars were entered in the 700 block of Misty Creek Drive. Sunglasses were stolen from one car, and a garage door opener was stolen from the other car. The garage was entered, but nothing was stolen.
  • Two unlocked cars were entered in the 1500 block of West Centurion Lane. A wallet and cash were stolen from the cars.
