Rotary Club Donates $21K To Non-Profit That Helps The Poor
A golf outing helped raise $21,000 that was donated from the Rotary Club of New Lenox to the Joliet-based MorningStar Mission.

NEW LENOX, IL -- The Rotary Club of New Lenox donated $21,000 to a Joliet-based organization that helps the poor. The MorningStar Mission was the recipient of a check provided on Thursday with funds raised during a charity golf outing that drew 127 golfers to the SPG Green Garden Country Club last month.
MorningStar Mission relieves the spiritual and physical hunger of the poor by providing food for the hungry, clothing for the needy, shelter for the homeless and the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all in Will County, according to a news release from Rotary. The club chose the organization after setting a goal for itself earlier this year "to increase its fundraising efforts and partner with an agency having a focus on families to create a greater impact in the community."
MorningStar Mission plans to use the money in its Women and Family Center.
