Firefighters Reunite Baby Ducklings With Mother
Members of the Manhattan Fire Department saved six ducklings who fell down a drain after a storm this week.

MANHATTAN, IL -- Firefighters in far south suburban Manhattan helped reunite a mother duck with her six baby ducklings this week after they were separated after a storm. Members of the Manhattan Fire Department responded to Blackthorne Road in the village, where a storm had washed the baby ducklings into a sewer drain.
The mother duck remained above ground and was "pacing" near the sewer drains for a few hours, Karrie Lambert-Kliros wrote on the "Manhappenin's" Facebook group on Thursday. Kameron Lambert, Lambert-Kliros' son, captured images of the firefighters' rescue.
"MFD came out and were able to flush out and catch the babies so they could reunite with their mother," Lambert-Kliros wrote.
