Salesman Turns Out to be Wanted, Goes to Jail on Warrant

The cops were checking out a group of people "soliciting" when they found the wanted man, police said.

A Joliet man working as a salesman in New Lenox turned out to be wanted on a county warrant, police said.

Raymond Goranson, 40, was taken into custody near the corner of Lincoln Highway and Prairie Road about noon Saturday.

An officer sent to the “area for subjects soliciting … made contact with Goranson and learned that he had an outstanding Will County warrant,” police said.

Goranson was taken to the Will County jail. He was released on bond two days later.
