Sports Photo Gallery: L-Way Central Boys Golf Gets a Bold(en) Early Push

Junior Bryant Bolden's 2-over-par 74 powered Lincoln-Way Central to the team title at the Plainfield Central Invitational.

The bold play of Bryant Bolden helped the Lincoln-Way Central boys golf team come out on top.

Bolden, a junior, shot a round of 2-over-par 74 as Lincoln-Way Central won the Plainfield Central Invitational Wednesday at Mistwood Golf Course in Romeoville.

Bolden placed second in a field on 60 golfers. Lincoln-Way Central senior Tom Schuman shot 75. Sophomores Tony Kestel (81) and Kyle McDonald (83) also contributed to the Knights' team total of 313.

"These are good results for early in the season," Lincoln-Way Central coach Don Hayes said. "We think we can lower our team score by 10 strokes by state tournament time."
