Sports Photo Gallery: L-Way West Football Takes Field with Great Expectations

The Lincoln-Way West football team swarmed the field Wednesday to begin preparations for the 2011 high school football season.
The Warriors, who tied for first in the Southwest Suburban Red last season, expect to make plenty of noise this year.
"We are excited about kicking this season off," said head coach Mark Vander Kooi, in his third season with Lincoln-Way West. "This group is not only talented but they also possess tremendous character. Hopefully, that is the combination that leads to a high level of success."

The Warriors will open their season at Joliet Township High School on Aug. 27 with a 1 p.m. kickoff.
