Spring Into COLOR! New Art Class at The Music Connection
During this five week course, at The Art Link of The Music Connection (Orland Park and Frankfort) children will dive into COLOR.
During this five week course, at The Art Link of The Music Connection (Orland Park and Frankfort) children will dive into COLOR, one of the five elements of art! They will weave, paint, and sculpt our way into learning about color theory including: primary vs. secondary colors; warm vs. cool colors; complimentary vs. analogous colors.
Week One: Primary/Secondary Colors & Shape Sculptures (Sculpture)

Week Four: Complimentary Colors & Collagraphs (Print Making)

Week Five: Review & Woven Wonders (Weave)
Classes are for K-6th grade children and begin are on Tuesdays in Orland Park (beginning April 21) and on Sundays (beginning April 19) in Frankfort with no class on Mother’s Day Sunday.
The classes are taught by Pam Peckman, a dynamic, friendly, experienced art instructor and mother of 3. Ms. Peckman commented: “Color is the perfect element of art to explore during spring. A rainbow of colors begin to pop out of the ground as hues of green deepen each and every day. We will go beyond simple color mixing during these five weeks as we explore the color wheel in depth... but most importantly, we will have a LOT of fun in the process!”
Pam Peckman is an Art Instructor at The Art Link of The Music Connection where her focus is on interactive art appreciation and visual communications. Pam received a B.S. in Communications from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and comes to The Art Link from NICHEPUBS. There, she serves as a Principal and is primarily responsible for the layout and design of international peer reviewed journals. Pam brings an expertise that includes: color, design, typography, and art history.
The Classes are held in Orland at 10751 165th Street, Suite 104 and in Frankfort at 9370 W. Laraway Road. Cost is $65.
