The woman was stealing until right before the cops arrested her, police said.

A Chicago woman did a lot of stealing in New Lenox, police said.

Nisha Brown, 46, of 4700 Lake Park Blvd. was arrested after shoplifting from both Target and Michaels, police said. Brown also allegedly ran a receipt scam at Target.

An officer sent to investigate a report of shoplifting from Target went to the store about 4 p.m. Sunday and met with a security guard. After speaking with the guard, the officer “learned that the offender, Brown, was observed selecting items from the shelf and returning them in the store using an old receipt,” police said. “Brown also stole other items before exiting the Target store.”
