'Subject' Steals 'Merchandise' From New Lenox Stores
The "subject" struck twice in two days, police said.

An unidentified “subject” stole unspecified “merchandise” from two New Lenox stores in as many days, police said.
The “subject” first struck at the Mobile Shop on Nelson Road about 10:30 a.m. Friday.
An “officer was dispatched to Mobile Shop Inc. in reference to a complaint of a burglary,” police said. “The complainant advised that a subject entered the business without permission and removed merchandise from the store without paying for the item(s).”

The police were back on Nelson Road, this time at the Jewel, about 1 p.m. the following day.
An “officer was dispatched to Jewel/Osco in reference to a complaint of a retail theft,” police said. “The complainant advised that a subject removed merchandise from the store without paying for the item(s).”

The New Lenox police provided no description at all of the thief or thieves.
New Lenox police Sgt. Louis Alessandrini was asked for additional information on the subject—or subjects—doing all this stealing, but he failed to respond.
