19 So that your trust may be in the Lord,

I have made them known to you today—yes, to you.

                                                       ~ Proverbs 22:17-19

Looking around you, you may not always notice that what you saw a moment ago is now a little different.  Another leaf may have drifted down as you closed your eyes and you missed its fall, but it is now on the ground, where a moment ago, it was not.  A bird may have been singing and has now stopped its melodic song.  The cichada has gotten just a little louder than it was a moment ago.

God's Word has so much meaning hidden within it.  What you read as a child may now hold a different meaning to you as you go through different trials in life.  The same passage may help you through one trial and years later, help you through another much different trial in a slightly different way.

Saying that you have read the Bible cover to cover so you don't have to read it again is such a waste of eternal knowledge right at your fingertips.  Keep studying God's Words daily - reading and re-reading it and meditating on it.  Pray for His wisdom to speak to you through His Words so that you may apply this wisdom in your life right now.  What you applied a moment ago may be different than what you will need in the next moment, based on where God is leading you at the time, so be in a constant search for His truth every day.  He will reveal to you what He wishes you to know for the moment and this may be different than He revealed yesterday as well as what He will reveal tomorrow.

Prayer

Father,

What a beautiful gift of wisdom You have given us.  So often we take Your Words for granted and don't take the time to look for the deeper meaning You wish to reveal to us. Let us make the time to really study Your Word and listen for Your voice revealing what we are to learn and then apply it to our lives.  Amen.
