Thief Runs Off In Shoes He Was Trying On Before Buying

A thief ran away in the shoes he was trying on before committing to buying them.

The victimized shoe-seller had advertised the footwear on Facebook and agreed to meet with a prospective buyer at the McDonald’s on West Maple Street shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday.

The supposed buyer showed up with another man and stepped into the shoes under the guise of “trying them on,” police said. He then punched the seller and took off.
