Thieving Florida Man & Lady Friend Caught Using Credit Cards Stolen From New Lenox Kmart Shopper: Cops

A thieving couple from Florida was caught using credit cards stolen from a New Lenox Kmart shopper, police said.

Tracy Warford, 44, and Carol Nelson, 36, both of Cape Coral, were charged with burglary, identity theft and unlawfully possessing credit cards. Warford also was charged with theft. Nelson, who allegedly was holding heroin, was hit with a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

An officer sent to the Kmart to check into a reported theft from a woman was told “Warford took her purse from her shopping cart while at K-Mart,” police said.

“The officers located Warford and Nelson a short time later after they had used the (woman’s) credit card to make purchases,” police said. “Nelson was in possession of heroin.”
