Triple Play Concert Series Planning Still in the Works

Ticket sales will work a bit differently this year, too.

Triple Play fans eagerly awaiting news of this year’s featured bands will have to keep on waiting—for now, at least.

Mayor Tim Baldermann is still working to secure a third band, but two are already set for the lineup. The names will not be released, however, until all three are confirmed. Two dates are “pretty firm,” Baldermann said—July 18 and Sept. 5. The first date—June 20—is still not set in stone.

But one thing’s for sure: ticket sales will be done differently this year.

Tickets are tentatively set to go on sale Saturday, April 18—a switch from the usual opening day of Monday. Tickets will be available for New Lenox residents only. As previous years’ ticket supplies have sold out so quickly, opening day quantities will be limited to 8 tickets per resident.

The limit will be lifted on the second day of sales, should any tickets remain.
