Video: Metra Hits Truck in New Lenox

Good Samaritans pulled a man from his stuck truck on Friday.

Onlookers saved a man late last week from being hit by a Metra train that was passing through south suburban New Lenox.

Good Samaritan Bryan Ellul was among those who stopped to help pull the man from a truck on Friday after it became stuck on the tracks located off Route 30. Ellul emailed Patch this article's accompanying photo and video.

"We were able to get him out before the train hit and nobody was injured," he said.

ABC 7 reported that no passengers were aboard the train. Ellul was not yet successfully reached for comment late Sunday.
