Deadline to apply for position of police officer in New Lenox is May 31.
NEW LENOX, IL -- The village of New Lenox is hiring an entry-level police officer. The board of Fire and Police Commissioners in the village sent out a call for applications for the position this week. Those who qualify and are interested should download an application at www.jobsource.copsandfiretesting.com.
The deadline to receive an application online is 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31. The deadline to return them is two hours later that same day at 4 p.m.
Send completed applications to C.O.P.S. and F.I.R.E. Personnel Testing Service ATTN: New Lenox PD 200 W. Higgins Road, Suite 201 Schaumburg, IL 60195. There's a $45 non-refundable fee for applying.

Requirements to be considered for the police officer position include being at least 21 years of age as of May 31, have a valid driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent degree and have completed at least 30 hours of coursework at an accredited college or university.

New Lenox does not have a residency requirement. Applicants can come from other towns.
