Village Provides Update On Metra Station Construction

Daily Parking Fee is suspended until further notice.

The contractor is working on construction within the new building area. Parking is this construction area is prohibited.

Access to the east end of the train platform is restricted, pedestrians will need to access the platform near the temporary METRA ticket office. This area will be under construction until approximately November of 2020. Pedestrians will be able to walk along the south side of the construction area via a pedestrian walkway protected from traffic by a barrier wall. Additionally, the parking pay stations have been moved to an area near temporary METRA ticket trailer.

The east parking lot is open for use, and pedestrians can access the train platform via a pedestrian walkway along the south and west sides of the constriction area.

The east parking lot can be only be accessed from Prairie Road. The west parking lot can only be accessed from Cedar Road. The middle lot is closed for construction and there is no access between lots.
