Volunteers at New Lenox PD Still Going Strong Gathering & Deliver Food to Tornado Victims

The relief effort has not let up.

The volunteer effort based at the New Lenox police station to assist victims of Sunday's tornado is still going strong.

Daniel Martin, the police department's public safety division chief, said there has been an "amazing response by New Lenox residents and folks from surrounding communities" and pointed to the "tremendous outpouring of support" for those affected by the tornado.

A Facebook page was set up to document the relief work.
