Walmart Return Racket Works Out For Crook

A crook managed to return merchandise to the New Lenox Walmart for store credit when he never even bought any of it in the first place.

An officer was sent to East Lincoln Highway superstore about 2 p.m. Aug. 12 to look into the shenanigans. When the officer got there, he was told an “unknown person removed merchandise from the shelf and then returned the merchandise for store credit,” police said.

New Lenox police detectives were on the case.
