Wanted Joliet Man Captured During Traffic Stop
The Joliet man allegedly failed to appear in court.

A wanted Joliet man was jailed after he was arrested during a traffic stop in New Lenox, police said.
Gabriel Alvarez, 52, was wanted for failing to appear in court for a traffic case, according to county records.
A New Lenox police officer reportedly noticed Alvarez’s registration was expired and pulled him over about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday near the corner of Route 30 and Washington Street. On top of the warrant, Alvarez had a suspended license, police said.

Alvarez was taken to the Will County jail. His bond was set at $15,000 and he remains in custody.
