Watch: 'Believe' as Lincoln-Way West Heads to Football Semifinals
Get pumped! The Lincoln-Way West Warriors will play in the IHSA Class 5A semifinal game Saturday.
As Lincoln-Way West prepares for a Class 5A showdown against Champaign Central on Saturday, the school has released a video teaser to rev fans for the program’s first semi-final game in its history.
“This group of young men, I’m honored to coach. They’re true warriors,” Coach Dave Ernst said in the video. ”Warriors are those who choose to stand between their enemies, and all that is loved and held sacred.”
The Warriors head into the game with a 10-2 record; the Champaign Central Maroons are 11-1 for the season. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. at Tommy Stewart Field in Champaign. The winner heads to the state championship game in DeKalb on November 28.
