Water Boil Issued for Part of New Lenox

NEW LENOX, IL — A water boil order is in effect after a water main break occurred Thursday afternoon.

The break occurred on Schoolhouse Road and water service was interrupted for all residents and businesses South of Talon and East of Schoolhouse Road.

Repairs are now complete, but residents in that area who are experiencing a service outage should boil water for at least 5 minutes before drinking or using in cooking. The boil order will remain in effect until lab samplings confirm that water quality has been restored. This will be Saturday afternoon at the earliest.
