Woman Grabbed On Old Plank Road Trail: Police

Forest Preserve police in Will County have stepped up patrols after two incidents on Sunday on the Old Plank Road Trail.

WILL COUNTY, IL -- Patrols have been stepped up throughout the Old Plank Road Trail in Will County after two women reported being approached inappropriately by men this week. District Police Chief Tracy Chapman said a woman reported being grabbed around 6:15 p.m. on Sunday near the Hickory Creek Junction. She said two men in their early 20s were near bicycles and approached her. One of them asked for her name and number, but when the woman told him she had a boyfriend, he made inappropriate contact with her.

“He grabbed her arm and said, ‘You owe me a hug now,' she pulled away and he pulled her in and said ‘You owe me a kiss,'" Chapman said.

The woman was with her dog, who growled and helped allow the victim to get away, police said.
