Woman's Breasts Squeezed During MRI: Lawsuit
The woman is suing Silver Cross Hospital and Associated Radiologists of Joliet.

A woman’s breasts were squeezed so hard during an MRI that she was forced to undergo reconstructive surgery, according to a lawsuit filed in Will County Court.
Sandra L. Camacho is suing Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox and Associated Radiologists of Joliet.
Camacho had an MRI of her breasts done in February 2014, the lawsuit said, and was “placed prone with her breasts suspended into the device.”

According to the complaint, “while the scan was being performed, the subject machine compressed (Camacho’s) breasts causing immediate and intense pain to her breasts and chest.”
Camacho suffered “multiple injuries to her chest and breasts as a result of the improperly performed MRI scan and improper use of radiology equipment,” the suit said, and she was “forced to undergo reconstructive surgery as a result” of her injuries.
