Ryan K. from Minooka says: “Chicago Street Pub has a lot more to offer than most of the bars in the downtown Joliet area. Here, you will find a great variety of craft beers as well as top-notch food. I really like that they have different specials on food and drinks everyday as well. Off the top of my head, I know that they have 45 cent wings on Tuesday and half off of their burgers on Wednesday. I frequently attend on Wednesdays as I cannot miss getting a high-quality burger for a $4. It’s too much of a steal to miss. The beer battered fries that come with it (for free) are a great pairing and are as good as they look. If you don’t know which burger to order, I can tell you that you cannot go wrong with getting the Shoe burger (BBQ ham, tomato, onions, and American cheese). I don’t frequently go to many places, so the fact that I come here every Wednesday is a sign that this place makes a damn good burger.”
McBride’s on 52, 2727 W. Jefferson St., Joliet | 3.5 stars
Stef M. from Chicagoland says: “I was very impressed with the knowledge and friendliness of the staff, and the promptness by which our food arrived. Very good fish & chips, excellent complimentary chips and queso. It’s a well oiled sports bar and very casual.”
McBride’s Pub & Grille, 7162 Caton Farm, Plainfield| 3.5 stars
John E. from Joliet says: “Pretty solid bar food. The nachos are huge and come highly recommended. Easily feeds 2 adults and you’ll be full when it’s all over. Burgers are good and they have weekly specials. Pretty sure they have a groupon that seems to be running consistently so there’s no excuse not to give it a try if you haven’t.”
Tom Kelly’s Chophouse and Pub, 495 Degroate Road, New Lenox | 3.5 stars
Steven M. of Mokena says: “Let me reiterate. This is a great place to hang out with friends. They spent some dough on the building. Acoustical panels on the ceiling to buffer the noise. Who does that in what I thought was a sports bar. We started with chicken quesadillas that came out on a serving platter. It was that big! Tot skins that had about an inch of cheese on them and fried zucchini. There was about two dozen zucc’s on the plate. If I’d a known I wouldn’t have ordered the pork chops. They were big and juicy char broiled numbers. I couldn’t finish both. But I did manage to eat the baked potato and sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious and I couldn’t have anticipated that I would get this quality of food at a place hidden behind the theater.”
Jameson’s Pub, 2755 Black Road, Joliet | 3.5 stars
Michael L. from Braidwood says: “A very nice local bar. I was here for St. Patrick’s Day. There was a lively crowd later in the day! Food was good, service was great!”
Katie O’ Connor’s Pint House and Eatery, 13717 Route 30, Plainfield| 3.5 stars
Kevin N. from Chicago says: “Katie O’Connors is a great place to meet up with friends and share the day. They have a great selection of beers from around the world and atmosphere is like a true Irish pub. The food is also killer. It’s also a great place to bring the family as like a traditional Irish pub, it’s geared to spending time and relaxing. They have a great outdoor space with free wifi so you can work when needed while enjoying a pint!”
The Irish Pig, 280 E. Haven Ave., New Lenox | 3.5 stars
Michele R. from Chicago says: “You just will not find a better pulled pork or brisket anywhere. There’s nothing else to say about that. Get some extra sauce, warmed if you’re dining in. The sweet potato fries are so good so make sure you don’t forget about your sandwich! They’re thick and melt in your mouth and it’s hard to stop. I just love the staff too. I can’t go anywhere else when I’m in town.”
Paddy’s, 362 Theodore St., Crest HIll | 3.5 stars
Colleen W. from Chicago says: “Nice place, fun and friendly! Great spot to chill and enjoy some absolutely delicious and yet reasonably priced cocktails! The every other Saturday bartender Amber is a wonderful addition, friendly and knows her stuff:) Best Bloody Marys in town and a good spot to watch a game, throw darts or play some tunes on the jukebox. They are also available for private parties. Check it out!”
Fox’s Restaurant & Pub, 14206 Route 30, Plainfield | 3 stars
Jo M. from Minooka says: “This is a real nice place. I’ve been to the original Fox’s in Orland Park, which is quite nice, but this is even nicer. A more open atmosphere and a large parking lot it is must go to in Plainfield.”
