3-Car Rollover Crash In Niles Leads To DUI Charge
Police said a 37-year-old Park Ridge woman was charged with driving under the influence of drugs after a crash at Touhy and Harlem avenues.

NILES, IL — Two people were hospitalized after an intoxicated driver crashed into two cars Tuesday at the intersection of Harlem and Touhy avenues, police said.
Jennifer Johns, 37, of the 1500 block of Northwest Highway, Park Ridge, was behind the wheel of a Jeep heading north on Harlem Avenue around 8:45 a.m. when she crashed into a Lexus stopped at a red light at Touhy Avenue according to a statement from the Niles Police Department.
After striking the Lexus, the Jeep flipped onto its side and crashed into the rear of a Freightliner truck before coming to a stop. Police said Johns and the driver of the Lexus suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening and were taken to a local hospital.

The investigation into the rollover crash closed traffic on Harlem Avenue in both directions.
Prosecutors charged Johns with one count of misdemeanor driving under the influence of drugs and one count of driving with a suspended license.

Police said she was also issued traffic citations for improper lane usage, no proof of insurance, possession of a suspended driver's license, failure to disclose an address change and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
