$6.5 Million Oriole Pool Reconstruction Shown

Oriole Pool will be closed this summer, and the Morton Grove Park District held an open house showing residents its plans to demolish the pool and build a new aquatic facility.

Morton Grove Park District residents stopped by Saturday at an open house to see the district's plans for a $6.5 million rebuilding of Oriole Pool, according to the Morton Grove Champion.

The pool will not be open this summer in order for preparation and construction to begin, the district had earlier announced. It is expected to reopen at the beginning of summer 2014.
