It seems like just yesterday that I was young and taking on life with my wife, children and career. Where did all the years go? I'm left with glimpses of how it was back in the day. Time has a way of waking us up to the passing years and raising the question, how did I get here so fast?
I am 72 years old and every day now I find that taking a shower could be a hazardous task, naps are irrelevant because frequently I fall asleep where I sit, aches, pains, loss of strength and ability are common. Sometime I
wonder how long this will last. When my time comes I will have a few regrets but there are many things I'm glad to have done and all things considered I've had a good life.
I believe that us seniors have license to offer advice:
First, do not put things off too long because life goes by quickly.
Second, say all the things that you want loved ones to remember and hope that they love you for all you have done for them.
Third, you young folks don't look for love in wrong places and do not mistake fascination as love.
Lastly, live your life well, enjoy today and guard you health.
