Are you interested in your family history or starting a family tree? MGPL has the tools to make your genealogy research a snap! We subscribe to Ancestry.com: Library Edition, Heritage Quest, and have librarians to help you along the way.
Ancestry provides information from over 4,000 genealogy databases, including passenger lists, vital records, the Social Security Death Index, the U.S. Federal census, and much more. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come in and use it in the library and if you need assistance, the librarians are always here to help.
Heritage Quest is available in the library and as an added bonus, from home with you library card number as well! This database provides federal census documents and over 25,000 published family and local histories.
