Jogabout Niles #4

Run through Niles Il

I thought I might combine two jogs in one post this time. Not all that much to see on the first one since I ran in mostly residential areas. Not to diminish the areas I ran. Niles really has some of the nicest and well kept homes that I know of - ok I'm a little biased, but it's true nonetheless.

The first run was a beautiful Wednesday evening that took me past a couple parks and it was great to see the little league and softball teams still going strong. It was also a little tough to make my way accross Oakton and Milwaukee. Traffic is really heavy at that time of day. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

The second run was a very HOT Saturday morning. I'm glad that I am close to covering the roads of our lovely Village before its too hot all the time. Once its above 85 and sunny, I'll be resigned to the shade of the Forest Preserve and the all the bikes. While it's nice to be in the shade, it does get a tad boring running in the same places all the time.

This run was interesting because I had to find the boundaries of Niles over in the industrial areas west of Waukegan.

There's not a ton to see here, but I did manage to get a few pictures. Cool to see mallard ducks in someone's lawn. (I remember when I was at St. John Brebuef in 4th grade a pair of ducks were living in the courtyard between the 2nd and 4th grade rooms and they hatched some ducklings there. That was fun to watch when your 10 years old).

Almost done.
