MGPL Wants You to "Take Charge of Your Health!"

Age Options will present "Take Charge of Your Health: Live Well, Be Well," a six week series of workshops at MGPL begining Sat., Oct. 1st at 1:30.

Age Options will present "Take Charge of Your Health: Live Well, Be Well," a six week series of workshops at MGPL begining Sat., Oct. 1st at 1:30.

This exciting interactive series of evidence-based workshops is for older adults and their caregivers. Each 2 ½-hour session provides information and self-management skills for older adults with a chronic disease and their caregivers. Participants learn how to cope with fatigue, pain, and isolation that may be related to ongoing health conditions; exercises to maintain and improve strength, flexibility and endurance; use of medications; communication with family, friends, and health professionals; good nutrition practices; problem solving, brainstorming, and other techniques. Limited to 20; registration is required. Refreshments will be served at each session.
