New Blogger With Niles Roots That Go Back To 1961
I went to Niles West (The "Indians" in those days) for 3 years and when Niles North was built (in Skokie ....go figure) I was in their first graduating class of 1965....I have returned home..
Hi folks. I have been given the opportunity to blog in my home town. I have always enjoyed responding to other postings but this is my first opportunity to express opinions, facts and experiences on a wide range of subjects as I pass my 64th birthday, in this fashion. I sincerely thank Pam for giving me this opportunity. Some of my posts will be longer than others but every effort will be made to keep them interesting, relevant and occasionally even funny or caustic. Life is too short to do otherwise.
My "first career" in diagnostic imaging lasted about 25 years, providing much needed radiology help (ultrasound and x-ray) in impoverished areas of the city (south and west sides)...This was after a 6 year military commitment.
My second career, from medical imaging to medical benefits, has lasted for over 22 years and focuses on seniors...medicare, supplements, long term care and medication concerns, as a successful insurance broker. Questions from you in any of these areas are certainly welcome. I will make every effort to respond to them and post relevant info that pertains to seniors. I personally go on medicare in 319 days and I can't wait. Glenn
