Storm Transforms Milwaukee Avenue Into Water Park
For a brief period on Saturday morning, Niles' Milwaukee Avenue resembled a water park.
A powerful thunderstorm tore through Niles on Saturday morning, dumping buckets full of rain. Runoff and overflowing storm sewers from the Four Flags Shopping Center parking lot poured onto Milwaukee Avenue--surprising unsuspecting motorists.
The heavy rain caused flooding inside the Toys R Us store just north of Four Flags, closing it for a short time.
