The Mary Anne Riehl Quartet Performs at MGPL for Mother's Day

Songs from the 30s, 40s, and 50s delight Moms and alike

People came from all over Chicagoland to hear the the Mary Anne Riehl Quartet on Mother's Day at the Morton Grove Library. The quartet delighted Moms and alike to to popular hits from the 30s, 40s, and 50s, such as "Girl from Ipanema" and "Our Day Will Come." Ms. Riehl is best known from "The Don McNeil Breakfast Club," and she sang "My Mom" from the show at Sunday's concert. There was a sing-along for "Side by Side," and she also sang Peggy Lee's "Moment of Truth" and Gershwin's "Embraceable You." Ms. Riehl was accompanied on stage by Ben Lewis on piano, Patrick Lewis on bass, and Rusty Jones on drums.
