Two Tuesdays, two different sunsets

A plume of smoke from a Minnesota wildfire last Tuesday had a noticeable effect on that evening's sunset. The following Tuesday's sunset was much different.

Last Tuesday a massive plume of smoke from a forest fire in northern Minnesota not only enveloped Morton Grove with a burning smell, it transformed what would have been a clear sunny day into a hazy one.

From the restored tallgrass prairie in Miami Woods, I photographed that evening's sunset. On the following Tuesday, from the same spot, I took a picture of that sunset. See the difference?
