Walk (jog) about Niles

I recently was reminded about the campaign of former Democratic Govenor Dan Walker, who "walked" all over the State of Illinois. In a brilliant marketing ploy - a fantastic play on words - Walker, walking - he gained considerable attention and the office of Govenor. I highly doubt this was due only to his "walking" but it certainly struck an interesting chord for me.

He ended up walking over 1000 miles to shake hands, kiss babies and gain publicity for his candidacy.

While I do not plan on running for any office, I thought it would at least be 'interesting' to walk (or jog) every street in Niles.

So for the past few weeks I've been trying to hit every street in town. So far I think I have covered at least 40% of the village and at my current weekly mileage I think I might be done in less than a month.

In the meantime, I thought I would post some interesting pictures of Niles that most of us may have never seen along with my route.
