The Resident Theatre at Edge of the Wood presents a semi-staged workshop of a new musical, The Affair of the Poisons. The musical tells the story of an archivist hired to catalog a cache of documents dating from the reign of Louis XIV. What he discovers is an infamous and secret scandal that reached from the alleys of Paris all the way into the heart of Versailles. A cast of 12 singing actors from throughout Chicago present this premiere presentation for three performances from August 28-30.
