Eight Indivisible Chapters https://indivisible.org/about/, Indivisible Elk Grove Township, Indivisible Niles Maine Township, Indivisible Des Plaines, Indivisible Evanston, Indivisible Highland Park, Indivisible NWSOFA, The People’s Post Alliance Indivisible Chapter, Indivisible Illinois, have come together to sponsor the second annual Music for Democracy concert on Sunday, October 11, 2026 from 1 – 4 pm at Belvedere Banquets, 1170 W. Devon Ave., Elk Grove Village.
Music will be provided by six different and exciting bands sure to strike the fancy of most everyone.The audience will be treated to SK Horizon featuring Steve Koerber and Summer Kwai, Dave Rudolf and Friends, Emma’s Revolution, Nauvoo, Chicago Rock Exchange, and Billy Branch and the Sons of Blues.Crowd favorite Patti Vasquez from WCPT, AM Radio 820, is going to be the emcee.
Speaking to the group and getting people ready to finish the work leading up to the November 3rd Midterms will be Congresswoman Delia Ramirez, Deputy Mayor and Village Trustee of Hanover Park, Herb Porter, Ishaan Sirvastava, Gen Z Podcaster, Seth Moland-Kovash, Executive Director, Partners for Our Community, https://poc.news/, Elyse Hoffenberg, Clerk of Lyons Township, State Representative Mary Beth Canty, Nedaa Alwawi, Chief of Staff for State Representative Abdelnasser Rashid, Reverend Doctor Michael Woolf.
Donations from the tickets will fund the support given to our beneficiary this year which is Partners for Our Community (POC.)We are very proud to be supporting this wonderful organization that provides wonderful support to the immigrant and underserved communities by providing survival skills needed to navigate in a changing and complex world, removing barriers and linking individuals and families to community resources and services, bringing personal awareness of one’s potential while honoring one’s heritage, and serving as a site for continuing education, life skills training, and vocational advancement.
At the perimeter of the room will be a Democracy Fair where participants can learn about other ways to participate as community activists including information on participating in the No Kings Vote Early events that many chapters are participating in on October 17th, phone banks, canvassing opportunities, and other get out the vote activities. Additionally, groups may discuss how they plan to engage in activism on other subjects as well.
