Construction Leads To Gas Main Leak On Howard Avenue
A gas leak resulted from a main being struck during construction on Howard Avenue near Oak Park Avenue; there are no public safety concerns.

A gas main was struck during construction on Howard Avenue near Oak Park Avenue, and there is currently a gas leak as a result. Nicor is making repairs, and traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction. Nicor was able to isolate any necessary shut offs, but a small number of homes may temporarily lose gas service. There are no concerns of public safety in the area.
