Cop On A Rooftop: Where To Find Officers In Niles, Morton Grove
Friday's "rooftop stakeouts" at 5 local Dunkin Donuts benefit Special Olympic Illinois.

NILES, IL — Officers from the Niles and Morton Grove police departments can be spotted Friday atop several local Dunkin' Donuts locations as part of the 16th annual Cop on a Rooftop event. It's part of a statewide fundraising effort to support the Law Enforcement Torch Run and benefit Special Olympics Illinois.
Local officers can be spotted from 5 a.m. to noon atop four Dunkin' Donuts locations in Niles and one in Morton Grove.

- 7235 N. Caldwell Ave.
- 8080 N. Milwaukee Ave.
Each visitor to a Cop on Top location on May 18 that makes a donation to the Torch Run will receive a coupon for a free donut.

Donors who give $10 or more will receive a Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug and a coupon for a free coffee, and Torch Run t-shirts will be sold starting at $15.
Events will be taking place across Illinois. This year, there is a $720,000 statewide fundraising goal with nearly 300 participating locations.

Dunkin’ Donuts also has created a special glazed red and white donut ring depicting Special Olympics Illinois colors. The donut, called “The Champion,” will be available at Dunkin’ Donuts locations in Chicago and suburbs for one day only.
Find more locations for 2018 Cop on a Rooftop and stop by to support your local law enforcement and Special Olympics athletes. More than $3.9 million has been raised over the past 15 years of the event, with $700,000 donated last year.
