First Fridays: Passport to Park Ridge/The Amazing Race

Join in The Amazing Race

Gather up your friends, neighbors, relatives and co-workers for a night of fun in Park Ridge and a chance to win a gift basket from the local merchants with over $200 in coupons, gift certificates and products.

The Amazing Race will kick off at the Park Ridge Public Library at 5:30 p.m.

Racers will receive their first clue at the library, which will lead them to a participating First Friday businesses. When racers find a business, they may be required to perform a quick task before receiving a stamp in their passport and their next clue.

Racers will earn a ticket for every clue they solve, which enters them into a drawing for the gift basket. Two tickets are awarded for solving the clue without opening the envelope, which has the answer; and, one ticket is awarded if the envelope is open. An additional ticket will be given to anyone who makes a purchase.

The winner of the basket will be notified by e-mail on Monday, October 9.

First Fridays Sing-Along 8:00 pm

Sing your heart out at the First Fridays Park Ridge: Community Sing-Along, 8:00 pm at the library. Allegro Music Center’s resident musicians will provide the music. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory will provide some chocolate dipped marshmallows. It will be like a good old fashioned sing-around-the-campfire. Well, no campfire, but there will be singing!
