Medication Take Back Day

Medication Take Back Day – April 30th, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Is your medicine cabinet full of expired, unused or unwanted medications?

Dispose of them safely on Saturday, April 30th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.  Drop prescription and over-the-counter medications in their original containers at the Niles Police Department. Do NOT remove labels. Personal information (name, address, doctor) should be crossed out, but information about the medication should be legible.

Protect your family and our environment! Abuse of prescription and over-the-counter drugs commonly found in homes, most notably by teens and young adults, is on the rise. Removing unwanted, unused or expired medications from the home helps eliminate abuse – and also keeps our water supply clean.

This event is sponsored by MCYAF, the Maine Community Youth Assistance Foundation. For more information, see www.mcyaf.com  or contact your Police Department.
